1. Lake Carezza

The lake is located in mountains of South Tyrol and has a blue color due to a rare type of algae growing in it. The lake has a very interesting history too. A legend goes around about a mermaid and King and why the lake is so beautiful. The lake is easily accessible with a car park near it too.

2. Lake Ledro

The lake has cool water with opportunities for swimming, boating, and fishing. The lake id 650 meters above sea level- the reason why it is so cool. Further, the lake is located at half an hour drive from Riva.

3. Lake Braies

The water in this lake is extremely clear and you can see the reflection of nearby mountains in the lake which is a sight for which one can cross several struggles. Therefore, you have to face some struggles to get to the lake because it requires a 2-hour hiking to get to the lake.

4. Lake Caldonazzo

The lake is 5 km long and one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy. The lake is located in Valsugana valley and is perfect for swimming as its temperature stays around 25 Celsius- not too cold nor too hot.

5. Lake Iseo

It is very close to the historically important city of Brescia. Lake Iseo is a very calm and quite lake which you might visit alone for some mental relief or with your loved ones for a quality time. Paddle surfing and windsurfing are popular activities on the lake.

6. Lake Lecco

The lake is located near another famous Lake, Lake Como. Lake Lecco is considered to be one of the most beautiful places to visit in Italy. The place is surrounded with high snow-covered mountain peaks. The gray mountains covering a clear blue lake is worthy a desktop wallpaper!

7. Lake Garda

Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy. On one of the banks of Lake Garda, there is a small village Sirmione. The lake has several ancient sites such as ruins and castles. On other banks, the lake also has beautiful beaches. Another village by the river is names River Malcesine.

8. Lake Orta

The most special and distinctive thing about Lake Orta is a village on one of its banks which is considered a mysterious village with many nuns living there. The lake is considered to be a wonderful place for self-realization and taking some alone time away from the rush of urban life.

9. Lake Como

Here is the most famous and one of the best Lakes in Italy, the Lake Como. It is very near to Milan and has extremely great features for the tourists to enjoy their time at the lake the best. The water is clear and cool at most times of the year.

10. Lake Maggiore

It is the second largest lake of Italy and through this lake, Italy shares a border with Switzerland. The lake’s background is very beautiful with snow-covered peaks and residence at its shores. From the aerial view, the lake looks like heaven on Earth. Because why not? It shares the border with Switzerland which is also one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
