1. Clifton Beach

It is one of the best places to visit in Karachi. It is ‘the city by the sea’; Arabian sea has a shore at Karachi which is a beautiful and soothing beach for the locals as well as the tourists. The beach has several activities like horse-riding, camel-riding and so on.

In top things to do in Karachi, Mazar-e-Quaid is must visiting place. The mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is located in the Jamshed Quarters region and is a popular tourist destination due to the vast and beautiful gardens and a museum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah where you can see the cars and other things that belonged to the father of the nation.

3. Mohatta Palace Museum

It is located in the Clifton area of Karachi and was built in 1927 by Shivratan Chandraratan Mohatta, a Hindu Marwari businessman as his summer home. The house has a unique architecture with pink Jodhpur stones used in the building. The palace is characterized by the Indo-Saracenic architecture.

4. French Beach

It is a small fishing village near the Paradise point. The beach consists of 95 huts which can be rented by the visitors. The beach is extremely beautiful with white sand and clear blue water. The water is ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving.

5. National Museum of Pakistan

The museum is located in the Burns Garden if Karachi. It has a collection of 58,000 old coins and several ancient sculptures. There are several exhibitions on the national days in the museum too.

6. Frere hall

Frere hall was built in 1865 in the British Raj era and served as the city’s town hall at that time. Today, there is a library located at Frere hall and several exhibitions are held at the venue too. The building’s architecture is very iconic and worth witnessing.

7. Karachi Zoo

If you are an animal enthusiast, you must visit this zoo. It is the largest zoo of Pakistan covering an area of 33 acres and having more than 800 animals. The elephant house, natural history museum, reptile house, Mughal Garden and white lions are some of the attractions of the zoo.

8. PAF Museum

The museum is an air force museum located at the Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi. There are several aircrafts, weapons and radar displayed in the museum for the general public to see. Vickers VC.1 Viking used by Muhammad Ali Jinnah is also displayed in the museum.

9. Maritime Museum

It is a naval museum located at the Karsaz road of Karachi. Several naval ships, submarines and weapons are displayed for the general public to see. Amongst other attractions, Daphne Class Submarine PNS Hangor, the minesweeper, PNS Mujahid and Breguet Atlantic aircraft are a few.

10. Teen Talwar

Located in the Clifton area of Karachi, Teen Talwar does not require you to visit it separately as it will surely come in your way to some other place. However, when passing the monument, you must make sure you witness what’s written on the three swords; it is unity, faith and discipline which were the creeds of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

11. Chaukhandi Tombs

Located in Landhi, these tombs form the Early Islamic cemetery that date back to 15th These tombs are famous for their sandstone cravings and the structures of tombs resemble the structures of tombs in the Makli Necropolis.

12. Quaid-e-Azam’s House

The house of the founder of the nation is located in Clifton area of Karachi and serves as a museum for the personal life of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Jinnah himself lived in the house from 1944 to 1948 when he died.

13. Empress Market

Located in the Saddar area of the city, Empress market is a marketplace where people can shop at the most reasonable prices in the city. The marketplace has several buildings that date back several years to the British Raj era. It was constructed in 1884 and was named after Queen Victoria, Empress of India.

14. Boat Basin

Finding best things to do in Karachi, you should go Boat Basin. It is an area in Clifton which connects directly to the sea. It is famous for its fabulous food street where you can have almost every kind of food ranging from Desi Pakistani to Chinese to fast food or just refreshments.

15. Masjid-e-Tooba

Another best places to visit in Karachi – Masji-e-Tooba. With a very interesting history, Tooba Mosque’s huge dome stands in the DHA area of Karachi without any pillar. When the mosque was being constructed, it’s builders Dr. Babar Hamid and Zaheer Haider believed that they could make such a huge dome stand without any pillars. The idea seemed impractical, but they succeeded. The mosque is a piece pure artwork.

16. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park

Located in Clifton, the park is an amazing place to be with your family. The park is named after the former prime minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto. It is very beautiful with its lush green gardens, fountains and amazing architectural pieces.

17. Patrick’s Cathedral

The cathedral is located near the Empress market of Karachi. The cathedral is built in the Gothic Revival architecture and is a pure architectural masterclass. According to several sources, the first church in Sindh was built here at the place of this Cathedral.

18. Manora Beach

Manora is a small peninsula connected to the mainland through Sandspit. The place has a significant historical background. Amongst many other things, the incident that Alexander the great camped here and prepared his fleet for Babylonia is certainly the most famous. 19. Jahangir Kothari Parade

It is a walkway built on a hilltop in the Clifton area of Karachi. It was built on the land donated by Seth Jahangir Kothari to Karachi in 1919. The parade is popular amongst people for the promenade pavilion and the elevated sandstone walkway.

20. Nisar Shaheed Park

The park is located in the Clifton area of Karachi and offers several recreational activities for children and adults. Several lush green gardens and trees augment the beauty of the park. Chunky Monkey, a gaming and rides zone, has also recently opened in the Nisar Shaheed park and gives extra value to the visitors there.
